Last Day Volunteering

The bonds that LIP forms through volunteering are always unforgettable. The past semester, we had the opportunity to get to know a few residents at Prarie Winds. Whether teaching each other how to play the card game skip-bo or exchanging stories from each of our generations and having many laughs in between, time spend there always seemed to fly by. On the last day of volunteering, we played one final game of skip-bo and showed our appreciation for the time the seniors spent with us, by making them personalized and decorated thank you cards. As we said our goodbyes and farewells, we couldn’t help feel as if we were leaving long time friends. A few of us promised to visit again.
